Back in Alaska

Just a quick note to let you know that we returned to Alaska last night. The weather was great all the way home and the plane ran perfectly. I hope to post some pics up soon of our trip.

Delayed Return

Today we were supposed to return to Alaska. It seems as if the Lord had something else in mind as the weather closed in last night and has not yet let up. This being Friday here in Russia and the airport being closed over the weekend it will be your Sunday before we can try to leave again. So, we get a few bonus days added to our trip, which is not all bad. Everyone is doing well, and we have accomplished much of what we set out to do. These extra couple days should give us some extra time to visit with our brothers and sisters in the church, and that is a very good thing.
Till next time...

Back in Provideniya

Yesterday (day before actually, there was a delay in this posting) John Turner and I piloted the SOAR Navajo back to Provideniya carrying Vicka, the Girls and Zhenya. Zhenya is a Russian guy who has helped us out the past few years with our camps. He works great with kids and is originally from this area. For the next couple of years he will be working closely with SOAR in Alaska and traveling with us to Provideniya any time we go.

We will only be here till Friday (Thursday U.S. time) but we hope the Lord will make the time here very profitable. Vicka has a number of administrative issues to take care of, and we hope to have some good visits with those from the church and maybe hold a small 3-day club for available kids here.

I’ll let you know how it all goes.
