Carnival with friends

Today we went to the carnival that is usually takes place after the school is over. We were the first ones to ride little kids rides. It was a little bit windy but sun came out just for us:)

Saturday fun!

Our weekend started not so pretty on Friday but on Saturday and Sunday we had a beautiful sunshine! We went garage sale and just drove around till we met our friends and stoped to talk to them on the parking lot. Their boys were going to get their hair cuts. All the kids had so much fun playing on the carb of the parking lot:)

They were screaming in to this tube with a trash in it:)

Anastasia is not that tall. Can't you see hands under her arms?

Halibut

Yesterday the SOAR staff was invited to go on a Halibut fishing trip in Cooke Inlet! Even though I have lived in Alaska for 7 years, this was my first time in Cooke Inlet Halibut fishing!
I caught 6 total and kept my limit of 2 and we all had a lot of fun, despite the fact that the day ended up cloudy, windy and cold....what is this, Alaska or something? ;)
Here are some pics for you to enjoy!

Who does Anastasia looks like?

So I think that Anastasia looks just like her grandma Susan! And I am not the one who think the same/ Just today I got a comment that my little girl looks like her grandma:) So fun!!

And here is Susan's baby picture when she was 3 or 4 years old so you all can see that I am right:)

Happy Birthday to me:)

Yesterday I turned 30! I feel myself only 18, which is how old I think I really am anyway. :)
Our friends had us over for lunch and they got me a cake from "Moose is Loose" it was good!!! After dinner we had our little celebration with ice cream cake from "Cold Stone" - SWEET!!!
It is different for me to celebrate my birthday in America as in Russia we have holidays on May 1st and 2nd and then it is my birthday on May 3d:) I always had a lot of celebration before:) May 1st parade in the Soviet times and it is always a day off:) But yesterday was Sunday and we worship Jesus in church and I think it is the best way to celebrate your birthday! Thank you Jesus for my birthday as it is also a day when I was born again 11 years ago.

Sun? Sun... Sun!!!

Yesterday we had such a nice sunny day that we went outside wearing sleeveless clothes!!! It is hard to believe that it was so warm because today it is cold again. It is our first time in a two years when we were dressed so light! Last summer in Provideniya was too cold and we had our coats and hats on all the time.
